SpeakerQuestion: What are the absolute DO NOT’s when you step up to speak?

There are many do’s and don’ts when it comes to public speaking, but here is a secret that can absolutely change the level of engagement with your audience. As you invite your listeners to ask questions or make comments, DO NOT drop your eyes. Dropping your eyes signals that your invitation is insincere. Instead, look directly at them, smile and be prepared to quietly count to ten as you sustain your eye contact . . . someone is sure to  speak up!
