Kelsey Woo, a graduate from Harvard-Westlake School was named the first place winner in the 2011 National Voice of Democracy Program and recipient of the $30,000 T.C. Selman Memorial Scholarship Award provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

This holiday, when they play our national anthem prior to the fireworks display, my mind & heart will be with our soldiers around the world.  I hope yours will, too.
